Prepare Your Home For Summer Storms
7/8/2019 (Permalink)
High temperatures have arrived in Central Indiana and that means an increase in the likelihood of strong thunderstorms. While trying to predict the weather can be a frustrating exercise, there are things that we can do to prepare our home for the inevitable storms that will pop up as we move through the dog days of summer.
* Secure items in your yard such as outdoor furniture and play structures that may take flight and damage the exterior of your home during high winds.
*Clean gutters and downspouts of leaves and other debris so that your home's drainage system is working properly before the heavy rain hits.
*Check fencing around your home to be sure it is secured properly.
*Regularly check trees on your property for fallen or dead limbs that could potentially damage your roof (or your neighbor's!).
Severe, unpredictable weather is the norm here in Central Indiana during the summer months. If your home or business is damaged by a summer storm, call the restoration experts at SERVPRO of Hamilton County, of Indianapolis North, and of Anderson. We will be on site quickly to assess the damage and make your home "Like it never even happened."
